Just inside the main entrance in Øvre Slottsgate, is Vinterhagen. Originally, this was the backyard between the two buildings that today make up Sentralen. During the renovation, a roof was built over the backyard, which today ensures that Vinterhagen has a ceiling height of 20 meters!
Despite the fact that Vinterhagen is an open space with a high ceiling, the lighting makes the room feel warm, intimate and pleasant. The windows along the walls are the original windows out to the backyard. Today, they provide the offices in the building with a view down into the winter garden.
Vinterhagen is the heart of Sentralen, with entrances to the café, restaurant, and reception. It also features a staircase leading to the upper floors, which include halls, meeting rooms, rehearsal spaces, studios, and shared office areas. The railing on the staircase is part of one of Sentralen’s site-specific artworks, Ikaroskomplekset by Jan Christensen & Marius Dahl. The railing detaches from the walls and ascends in several distinct directions toward the ceiling. When the Mynt Rooftop Terrace is closed for the season, Bar Vinterhagen opens, offering evening service on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
During the day, when there are no events in the Winter Garden, it serves as an extension of the café, where guests can bring coffee, baked goods, and lunch from the café.

It is possible to hire additional technical equipment, and sound and lighting technicians.
It is possible to perform streaming/recording in the hall. Sentralen has its own streaming technician and its own equipment with four cameras.

What does get-in and get-out mean?
"Get-in" refers to the time you wish to access the venue, including setup, technical testing, etc. "Get-out" refers to the time by which you must have fully cleared the venue. The event itself must take place between the get-in and get-out times.
Is remote catering allowed?
No, external catering or food and drinks are not allowed on our premises. Sentralen Mat is responsible for all dining at Sentralen.
Is Sentralen environmentally certified?
Yes, Sentralen is Miljøfyrtårn certified.
Do you have parking for organizers?
No, we don't have parking spaces available at Sentralen. The nearest parking garages are the Palèet and Bankplassen.
Can we use the Central's technique, but bring our own technicians?
If you wish to use our equipment, our technicians must be present. If you want to bring in your own technicians in addition, this is possible.
What do I do if I want Sentralen to publish tickets for my event through its ticketing system?
If you want Sentralen to publish tickets for your event through its ticketing system, you must fill out a ticket form. In the form, you will also get information on how Sentralen promotes events. You can find the ticket form by clicking here.
What ticketing system do you guys use?
Sentralen uses the Tixly ticketing system.

The streaming package includes everything you need to stream or record an event, such as panel talks, simple conferences or small performances.
The streaming technician sets up two Panasonic AQ-CX10 4k cameras cameras that will stand in fixed positions.
The audio engineer ensures that there is a high quality of the audio of the streaming.
Lighting technician ensures proper lighting.
The package includes

Sentralen provides space for ideas, interaction and good experiences.
Sentralen is a versatile event house in Kvadraturen in central Oslo. The house consists of two buildings that were originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. On six floors of historic premises, we rent out event rooms, production rooms and meeting rooms for all purposes.
Sentralen is owned by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. Sentralen will contribute to supporting the Sparebank Foundation's vision to trigger good forces, through events and favourable rental prices for tenants that fit under the purposes of cultural production and social innovation.
