A historic venue in the heart of Oslo

Sentralen is located in the former headquarters of Christiania Sparebank. The marble staircase, chandeliers, bank vaults and historic details create a unique and atmospheric setting for your wedding.

Our central location also makes it easy to combine aceremony at Oslo City Hall with a wedding reception just eight minutes away.

Stortinget metro station, several hotels and parkingfacilities are all nearby.

Choose a venue for the whole day

A great wedding venue should offer space for more than just dinner. It should work equally well for welcoming guests, speeches, entertainment and dancing.

Our venues vary in size and style and can be adapted to suit your wedding.

Marmorsalen accommodates up to 400 guests at long tables or 230 at round tables, with a separate bar and reception area.
Forstanderskapssalen accommodates up to 100 guests at long tables or 80 at round tables and has a built-in stage.
Kronesalen accommodates up to 96 guests at long tables or 84 at round tables, with direct access to the Kron & Mynt rooftop terrace.
Hvelvet accommodates up to 50 guests at long tables or 40 at round tables.

Make use of different spaces throughout the day

Connected spaces allow you to create variety throughout your wedding without guests having to leave the building. Move seamlessly from welcome drinks and aperitifs to dinner and dancing.

Gullbaren can be used for aperitifs, mingling and barservice outside Forstanderskapssalen.
Kron & Mynt rooftop terrace accommodates up to 150 standing guests and can be used for aperitifs or wedding ceremonies outside Kronesalen.

Using several spaces also allows the main venue to be prepared for the next part of the celebration while your guests enjoy themselves elsewhere.

Ceremony, photos and reception all in one place

Holding your ceremony, photography, dinner and reception in the same building means less travel and more time together.

The rooftop terrace, Vinterhagen and Gullhallen can all be used for wedding ceremonies.

The marble staircase, historic facade, Vinterhagen and rooftop terrace also provide a variety of beautiful backdrops for wedding photos.

Wedding packages

Our wedding packages make planning easier by bringing the venue, catering, staff and other essentials together in one package.

We offer two wedding packages with different menus and services, with additional options available to suit your celebration.

Bringing everyone together around the table

Dinner is often the part of the wedding where everyone spends the most time together. It sets the scene for speeches and entertainment before the celebrations continue with cake, coffee and dancing.

SentralenMat AS provides all food and beverage service at Sentralen. Our wedding packages can include aperitifs, canapés, a three- or four-course dinner, coffee and dessert, and late-night bites.

Menu tastings can be arranged, and you are welcome to bring your own cakes for the cake table.

Set the scene with furniture and lighting

The table layout helps shape both the atmosphere and the flow of the room. Long tables bring everyone together, while round tables create smaller groups for dinner.

Our venues can be adapted with different table arrangements, stages, bars and dance floors. You can use Sentralen’s furniture or hire additional furniture from external suppliers.

Lighting can highlight the architecture and transform the atmosphere throughout the day.

One dedicated contact for a seamless experience

With suppliers, catering and entertainment to coordinate, having someone oversee the entire event makes all the difference.

A producer will help you plan your wedding in advance. On the day itself, a dedicated host will oversee the event, while our hosts, waitstaff and technical crew make sure everything runs according to plan.

You are also welcome to work with an external wedding planner if you prefer.

A viewing is the best way to experience the size and atmosphere of our venues and see how the different spaces can work together throughout your wedding day.

Is it allowed to bring food and drinks to my event or party?

No, it is not allowed to bring food and drinks with you to your event or party. There is an exception for cakes for weddings, graduations etc.

Do you have other tables and chairs than the ones shown in the photos?

No, the tables and chairs shown in the venue photos are the ones available at Sentralen.

Some rooms have different furniture options, which may be available depending on whether the room is in use.

If you need additional tables or chairs, these can be rented from external suppliers and delivered to Sentralen.

Do you provide candlesticks?

No, we donot provide candlesticks for events. Our catering team uses standard white candles in glass holders when setting the table for dinner.

What do I do if I have technical questions?

If you have technical questions, you can ask the booking team in the booking process, or the producer in the planning process. You can also read our tech Specs for all venues.

Can we use candles for our event?

Yes, candles are allowed under controlled conditions. All tenants and organizers are responsible for ensuring that candlelight does not create a fire hazard.

Do you decorate the venue, or provide decorations for events?

We do not decorate the venue or provide decorations for your event or party.

You are welcome to bring your own decorations, or book our event hosts to assist with setup and decorating.

Please let us know your needs during the planning process, and we will help you find the right solution.

Can I rent an extra room?

Yes, it is possible to rent an additional room, such as a meeting room. For example, the room can be used for children who need a nap, storage of gifts, photographers who will edit photos etc.

Can I drop off equipment or decorations before my event?

Yes, it ispossible to deliver equipment, decorations, or other items before your event,or pick them up afterwards.

This must be arranged in advance with your eventproducer.
