Urban views of the rooftops in central Oslo, well-preserved historical building details and warm atmosphere between the cornices make the roof terrace Kron & Mynt unique in Oslo.
The ungainly atmosphere, with plants, trees (!) , terracotta-colored concrete and brick-plastered walls give visitors the feeling that they have taken a trip to New York. A glass wall allows you to look down the entire 6th floor of the building, all the way down to the Winter Garden. The roof terrace is pleasantly decorated with outdoor furniture and light links. Heating lamps are installed for the cool evenings, and umbrellas for the hot summer evenings.
The name of the roof terrace, of course, comes from the striking of mynt and krone, alluding to the two levels of the roof terrace, which are linked by means of an amphitheater. The amphitheatre is cast in terracotta-coloured concrete, and can be used for standing and seating.
The bottom level
The lower level is located outside Kronesalen. You can rent Kronesalen along with the roof terrace. This solution is perfect if you want to give guests or participants the opportunity to stay both indoors and outdoors.
There is an exit directly from the hallway outside Kronesalen to Kron.
The bottom level is 66 m2, and also includes the amphitheater.
The top level
From the top level there are views over the rooftops in Oslo city centre.
The mural at on the top level is painted directly on the wall by artist Anette Moi.
The top level is 80 m2.

You can reserve a table during the opening hours of the roof terrace
When the roof terrace is open, you can reserve tables for both small and larger groups.
This is suitable for groups that want to celebrate a summer party, birthday or colleagues who want to meet after work.
If you are a group of 30 people or more, you must pay a deposit in advance to reserve a table. You must pay four weeks in advance either on Vipps or invoice.
The guarantee amount is 10 000, - ink VAT and can be used on both food and drinks.

You can rent the lower part of the rooftop terrace – Kron – and the amphitheater for private events
You can rent the lower part of the rooftop terrace and the amphitheater for summer parties, wedding receptions and ceremonies, birthdays, or other events.
The price for renting the lower part of the rooftop terrace, Kron, including the amphitheater, is 16 500 ex VAT. This includes:
- a basic sound system for playing music and speeches
- standard furniture setup
Technical equipment, technicians, and other gear are not included and will be charged separately.

You can rent the entire roof terrace, including Kronesalen, for closed events
You can rent the entire roof terrace, including Kronesalen, for a summer party, wedding party and wedding, birthday or other events.
The price for renting the roof terrace, including Kronesalen, is 65 000, - ex VAT.
This includes:
- simple sound system for playing your music and speeches,
- waiters up to eight hours,
- standard furnishing.
Technical equipment, technicians and other equipment come in addition.

Accessibility

The lower level is located on the 5th floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
The upper level is located on the 6th floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
To get from one level to the other in a wheelchair, you have to take the elevator inside the building.
The rooftop terrace has a nearby HC toilet on the 5th floor.

Audience entrance in Øvre Slottsgate 3, then lift to the fifth or sixth floor, or stairs from Galleriet on floor 4+. Step-free access via elevator to the fifth floor for Kron, and lift to the second floor for Mynt.

Yes, you can host a summer party at Sentralen.
We have many venues that are well suited for summer parties. The most popular spaces for summer parties at Sentralen are the Rooftop Terrace and Kronesalen.

Are there other events or bookings at Sentralen at the same time as my event?
Yes, there may be other events or bookings taking place at Sentralen on the same day as your event. Our public areas are open and accessible to everyone, and other tenants may also have activities in the building.
There is usually activity throughout Sentralen every day. If there are any special circumstances that may affect your event, we will inform you in advance.
You can view all events to see other public events taking place on the same day.
What does get-in and get-out mean?
"Get-in" refers to the time you wish to access the venue, including setup, technical testing, etc.
"Get-out" refers to the time by which you must have fully cleared the venue. The event itself must take place between the get-in and get-out times.
Do you have parking?
No, we don't have parking spaces available at Sentralen.
The nearest parking garages are the Palèet and Bankplassen.
Can I get my own key card for the room I rented?
No, you will not be given a key card to the venue you have rented. When you arrive: let us know at reception and we will unlock the venue for you.
If you want us to lock the room during the rental period, you can let the host know.
Can I hang something in the ceiling during the event?
In general, items cannot be hung from the ceiling in our venues unless they are made from non-flammable materials or treated with flame retardant.
If you need to hang equipment or decorations from the ceiling, this must be arranged in advance and will usually require a lighting technician to use the light rig safely.
Do Sentralen’s staff welcome my guests or audience?
As an event organizer, you are responsible for welcoming and assisting your guests or audience.
Our reception hosts can help guests find their way if they have questions and will provide event sign with information about the location.
If you would like dedicated hosts to welcome and assist your guests throughout the event, this can be booked separately.
Can I use an external catering provider when I rent a venue?
No, external catering providers are not permitted when you rent a venue at Sentralen.
All food and drink serviced are provided by SentralenMat, our catering partners.
If you require a specific type of food or service that is not available in our catering menu, we would stil be happy to explore the possibility with you.

How does Sentralen promote events?
Event organizers are responsible for actively promoting their own events. This includes creating a Facebook event, adding Sentralen as a co-organizer, and sharing the event through relevant channels. Sentralen also promotes all public events submitted through our programme or ticket form.
Events are published on our website with a dedicated event page, displayed on screens at Sentralen, included in our newsletter, and may be shared through our social media channels and selected external event calendars. All events at Sentralen receive the same level of promotion and are promoted in the same way. Read our audience insight and marketing tips.
How can I make my event visible at Sentralen on the day of the event?

Can I drop off equipment or decorations before my event?
Yes, it is possible to deliver equipment, decorations, or other items before your event, or pick them up afterwards.
This must be arranged in advance with your event producer.

Bankplassen 3: Nasjonalmuseet – Arkitektur is located just around the corner from Sentralen – at Bankplassen 3, 0151 Oslo.
Sentralen provides space for ideas, interaction and good experiences.
Sentralen is a versatile event house in Kvadraturen in central Oslo. The house consists of two buildings that were originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. On six floors of historic premises, we rent out event rooms, production rooms and meeting rooms for all purposes.
Sentralen is owned by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. Sentralen will contribute to supporting the Sparebank Foundation's vision to trigger good forces, through events and favourable rental prices for tenants that fit under the purposes of cultural production and social innovation.
