Sentralen MINT - This is how the rental agreement works

You can rent venues through the Sentralen MINT rental scheme. The event must be diverse and inclusive, and create a sense of belonging. Here you can read about which types of events can use the rental scheme and how to get in touch.

What types of events can be rented through Sentralen MINT?

The rental scheme is specifically targeted at promoters who work to include diverse community groups and create a more inclusive environment.
It may, for example, be

  • gigs
  • theatre and dance performances
  • festivals
  • free dance
  • show
  • art exhibitions
  • club events
  • fashion show

We encourage that the events and activities are open, but you are welcome to conduct closed events as well.

Relæxte experiences can use the rental scheme

RELÆXT is based on 'Relaxed Performance' — an offering that has been developed and offered since the early 1990s at several UK theatres. Relæxt experiences facilitate cultural experiences so that they become more accessible to everyone, especially those who find it challenging to participate in regular performances and concerts.

At Sentralen, we follow the Guide for Relæxt Performances and Experiences when we produce Relæxt experiences. We are happy to help you arrange events so they are RELÆXT according to the supervisor.

Who can not use the rental scheme?

You cannot rent through Sentralen MINT if

  • you as an organizer represent a political organization
  • the event has a party political or preaching content

This is what we offer

If you use the MINT rental scheme, you get free rental of large, bright and nice premises. In addition, you get

  • opportunity to get the costs of rigging covered
  • possibility to use the technical facilities of the house such as projector, canvas, microphone, single stage lighting and sound system
  • access to Sentralen's professional lighting and sound technicians
  • opportunity to get covered hosting

We don't cover this

We will ensure you have the best possible experience in our venues, but you must pay for

  • security guard, if necessary
  • your own staffing for the event
  • food and drinks for your event

We look forward to hearing from you!

This is Sentralen MINT

Sentralen MINT is a rental scheme financed by Sparebankstiftelsen DnB. Activities and events that will use the rental scheme must promote diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Through the scheme, we can provide free rental of premises, as well as cover costs for rigging, technical equipment, technicians and, in some cases, hosting. The aim of the rental scheme is to promote a wide range of audience events that reflect the diversity of the community, and which contribute to a diverse programme at Sentralen.

We want Sentralen to be a place where there is a low threshold for both attending, and hosting, events. We believe that diversity among people is invaluable for cultural life and societal innovation.

Since the establishment of the rental scheme, Sentralen MINT has supported, for example, public events such as theatre, festivals, free dance, shows, art exhibitions, club events, fashion shows and concerts.
