Yes, we accept companion certificates. Visitors with a valid companion certificate can receive a free companion ticket for events at Sentralen.

Unless otherwise specified in the event text, or in the ticket purchase process, the age limit for children's tickets is 0 - 16 years.

The event information is provided by the event organizer. If you have any questions about a specific event, please contact the organizer directly.

At the bottom of the event description, you will find the organizer’s details and a link to their website.

You can buy tickets at any time in our reception, or at the door before the event (unless the event is sold out).

Please contact the reception or one of our event hosts to purchase tickets. You can also buy tickets online until the event starts.

You are allowed to take photos with your phone without flash at event, unless otherwise stated on your ticket.

If you want to take photos with a professional camera, you can contact the event organiser.

First, add the ticket you are going to buy in the shopping cart, and then fill in the discount code during step 2 of the purchase process.

Remember to distinguish between upper and lower case letters, and include spaces, numbers, and other symbols.

Some events at Sentralen have an 18-year age limit. This is stated in the event text of the program.

Yes, Sentralen offers companion tickets by agreement with the event organizer.

Guests with a valid companion certificate may be eligible for a free companion ticket to selected events.

Yes, you can transfer the ticket to another person, unless it is clear on the website and/or ticket that the ticket is personal.

You cannot resell your tickets for commercial purposes. Tickets may also not be offered in competitions or in connection with offers of any other product or service without the written permission of Tixly and/or Sentralen, or the organizer.

If this provision is violated,Tixly has the right to cancel the ticket. It is your responsibility as a ticket buyer to ensure that you have forwarded the ticket (s).

If the person you gave your ticket(s) to loses them, it is your responsibility as the purchaser to replace them.

We do not refund the purchase of a ticket, unless the event has been cancelled.

We do not refund your ticket  if you are unable to attend the event.

If an event is rescheduled, the original ticket (s) will apply to the new date (unless otherwise advised).

If the new time is not suitable, you will be given the opportunity to refund your tickets. NOTE: Ticket fee is non-refundable.

You are responsible for checking whether the event will be carried out as planned or not.

An event is considered cancelled if the event does not take place at all. Changes in repertoire, changed date, partially performed arrangement do not constitute a cancelled event.

In case of cancellation, you will be contacted on email with refund instructions. If you have any questions about cancelled or rescheduled events, please contact us at post@sentralen.no.

Tickets can be purchased via program calendar on our website, or at the reception during Sentralen's opening hours.

Yes, Sentralen Kafé caters to guests with food allergies. They offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, and the staff will be happy to answer any questions about ingredients and allergens.

The restaurant has an area that can be separated from the rest of the venue by a curtain, but it is not a separate enclosed space.

If you want a separate closed room it is possible to rent this, please contact booking@sentralen.no. For example, the meeting room Bankboksen on the ground floor, is perfect as a chambre separee.

Yes, you can reserve a table in the restaurant at sentralenmat.no, or book it online.

Yes, you can reserve a table in the café by sending an email to kafe@sentralen.no.

Hitchhiker Restaurant is usually open Tuesday-Saturday. See the opening hours.

Sentralen Kafe is usually open Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 20:00, and 11:00 - 17:00 on Saturday and Sunday. See the opening hours.

Yes! You are welcome to bring your laptop and sit down to work at Sentralen, located in the heart of Oslo city centre. We have several comfortable areas where you can work, including the Café, Vinterhagen, and Gullhallen.

You will have access to free WiFi, and most of our seating areas have power outlets so you can easily charge your laptop, phone, or other devices while you work.

Sentralen is a great option if you are looking for a café with WiFi and a flexible workspace in Oslo – whether you need a place to work for a few hours, join digital meetings, or simply enjoy a comfortable environment to get some work done.

We are open every day from 08:00 to 22:00, so you can stop by to work both early in the morning and later in the evening.

Yes, you are welcome to bring food and drinks purchased from any of our cafés, bars, or restaurants into our event halls, meetingrooms, and shared public spaces.

If you'd like a drink or a snack before a concert or event, you can purchase refreshments from one of our food and beverage outlets during their opening hours. Check out all opening hours.

Yes, you can bring your dog into Sentralen, but not in the dining areas: top level on the roof terrace, in the cafe and in the restaurant.

Keep your dog on a leash and be considerate of others. If you want to bring your dog to an event, ask the organizer for permission.

Service dogs are always welcome at Sentralen, even in dining areas.

Yes, there is bike parking outside Sentralen in Øvre Slottsgate.

There is a separate tablet at the reception, where you can easily order a taxi from Oslo Taxi on your own.

Some events have a staffed cloakroom in the basement. Other events have wardrobe racks placed in the hall, where you can hang your things at your own risk.

Yes, there is free wireless internet throughout the building.

No, bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted at events at Sentralen.

However, you are welcome to purchase food and beverages from our cafés, bars, and other serving areas in the building.

Yes, strollers are warmly welcome at Sentralen, but be careful not to block emergency exits and access to others.

Feel free to ask us if we know a good place to place the stroller and we will help you!

The reception is usually open Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 16:00.

Sentralen is located in Øvre Slottsgate 3. There are no parking spaces connected to Sentralen, and we recommend that you use public transport.

Tram: The nearest tram stop is Øvre Slottsgate (trams 12, 13, 15).
Bus: The nearest bus stop is Kvadraturen/Wessels plass (30, 31, 32, 54, 70, 81).
Metro: The nearest metro station is Stortinget. All metros stop at Stortinget.
Car: Nearest parking garages are Palèet and Bankplass, if arrival by car is required. There is no street parking around Sentralen.

If you have lost or forgotten something at Sentralen, you are welcome to stop by during our opening hours to check our lost and found.

Lost items are kept for up to one week before they are discarded. See Sentralen’s opening hours.

Sentralen is universally designed, and all premises at the Sentralen are wheelchair accessible - with lift access, wide doors and HC toilets attached to all floors.

Please contact the host if you need assistance.

There is both a restaurant Hitchhiker, a café an a roof top terrace at Sentralen. Some venues have adjoining bars, which may be open during certain events.

It’s easy to make your event available as part of the Godopass offer. As an organizer, all you need to do is tick the box indicating that you want to make your event available to Godopass subscribers when submitting the publishing form, either the ticket form or the programme form.

Yes, you can buy food at Verdens Kuleste Dag!

There is a wide selection of food and drinks available for purchase during Verdens Kuleste Dag. A number of well-known brands will be present at Akershus Fortress, including a variety of food trucks.

The activity day Verdens Kuleste Dag takes place at Akershus Fortress in Oslo.

You can bring the whole family to Verdens Kuleste Dag, and you are welcome to bring your own food or purchase food at the Fortress.

Verdens Kuleste Dag 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 29th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Akershus Fortress.

Verdens Kuleste Dag is organized by us at Sentralen and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB in collaboration with SAKK at Akershus Fortress.

Verdens Kuleste Dag is a free activity day for children and young people at Akershus Fortress in late August.

Over 35 different activities are set up around Akershus Fortress, where children and young people can play, explore, try new things, and learn from the various organizations contributing their own unique activities.

Verdens Kuleste Dag is organized by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB and us at Sentralen.

Verdens Kuleste Dag 2026 takes place on Saturday, August 29th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Kokkenes Dag will take place outside Sentralen, in Øvre Slottsgate and at Christiania Torv. There are no parking spaces available at the festival, and we recommend using public transport.

Tram: The nearest tram stop is Øvre Slottsgate (trams 12, 13 and 15).
Bus: The nearest bus stop is Kvadraturen/Wessels plass (buses 30, 31, 32, 54, 70 and 81).

Car: The nearest parking garages are Paléet and Bankplassen, if you need to arrive by car. There is no street parking around the festival. The nearest accessible parking spaces are located at Tollbugata 25 and 27–29, and Nedre Slottsgate 4D and 4E.

There will be no bicycle parking available in Øvre Slottsgate or at Christiania Torv. We recommend using the bicycle parking facilities at Myntgatakvartalet.

At Kokkenes Dag, you pay via Vipps at the food stalls.

Please note that you are not permitted to take alcohol outside of these venues.

You are welcome to bring food you have purchased to all the locations mentioned above.

Last year, 4,000 portions were sold from the restaurant stalls at Kokkenes Dag. This year, the area has been expanded to include Christiania Square, and there are more stalls. We expect at least 5,000 portions to be sold during Kokkenes Dag 2026.

Kokkenes Dag was started by Tom Victor Gausdal and is now organized in collaboration with Sentralen and SentralenMat AS.

Originally, Kokkenes Dag was held outside Strand Restaurant in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Kokkenes Dag was organized by Tom Victor Gausdal, Sentralen, and SentralenMat AS for the first time in 2025.

On Kokkenes Dag, you can find a site map showing the locations of the restaurant stalls on posters in Øvre Slottsgate and at Christiania torv.

On Kokkenes Dag, a DJ will be playing music in Øvre Slottsgate. There is no concert program planned.

If the restaurants sell vegetarian dishes, this will be indicated on their menus and on the Kokkenes Dag area map.

The information desk is located right by the main entrance to Sentralen at Øvre Slottsgate 3.

During Kokkenes Dag, you can find restrooms inside Sentralen at Øvre Slottsgate 3.

Enter through the main entrance and take either the lift or the stairs down to the basement level.

There are also restrooms in Vinterhagen, which is located straight ahead inside the main entrance of Sentralen.

The afterparty for Kokkenes Dagon the rooftop terrace at Sentralen starts at 3:00 PM on the same day - Sunday, August 16th.

Everyone is welcome to the afterparty, both the public and the chefs.

A DJ will be playing great music and setting the mood.

The afterparty ends at 9:00 PM (or maybe later...).
