Direktørrommet is a classic and elegant room with historical details.
This was originally the bank manager’s office, and you can still see traces of that in the details. Although the room has been refurbished, several elements of the old office have been retained. Direktørrommet features large arched windows, original diagonal checkered parquet, stucco and rosette. The light green color of the walls is also original, from the time the room served as the Director's Office. The chandelier on the ceiling used to hang in the bank, and has been restored.
The historical details make the room stately and traditional, but it is also functional, with modern furniture and equipment.
The room can be set up in several layouts, and has a convenient serving bench along one wall. The standard boardroom layout consists of 6 tables, which can be easily divided as group tables for up to 6 people per table.
Round tables are set up for dining events only. Meetings and seminars who want round tables can get this for an additional cost.
There is an entrance to Direktørrommet from both Forstanderskapssalen and Gullhallen.

The streaming package includes everything you need to stream or record an event, such as panel talks, simple conferences or small performances.
The streaming technician sets up two Panasonic AQ-CX10 4k cameras cameras that will stand in fixed positions.
The audio engineer ensures that there is a high quality of the audio of the streaming.
Lighting technician ensures proper lighting.
The package includes
- use of all necessary technical equipment

- lighting technician
- up to 5 hours streaming on the desired platform (such as Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, website) and/or recording

Direktørrommet can be rented as part of package rates that include food and drinks for breakfast meetings, day events, dinner events, all-day events and weddings.
If Direktørrommet is rented alone:

- purchase food and drinks from the cafe and bring to the meeting room

Do you have parking?
No, we don't have parking spaces available at Sentralen.
The nearest parking garages are the Palèet and Bankplassen.
There is no street parking in the streets around Sentralen. Øvre Slottsgate, where the main entrance to Sentralen is located, is a pedestrian street.
Do you provide candlesticks?
No, we donot provide candlesticks for events. Our catering team uses standard white candles in glass holders when setting the table for dinner.
Can we use candles for our event?
Yes, candles are allowed under controlled conditions. All tenants and organizers are responsible for ensuring that candlelight does not create a fire hazard.
Can guests bring cakes?
Yes, guests can bring cakes. These can be delivered the day before, and will be placed in the fridge.
Howewer: you need to arrange this with your producer beforehand.
What do I do if I have technical questions?
If you have technical questions, you can ask the booking team in the booking process, or the producer in the planning process. You can also read our tech Specs for all venues.
How do I connect to wireless network/WiFi?

Do you decorate the venue, or provide decorations for events?
We do not decorate the venue or provide decorations for your event or party.
You are welcome to bring your own decorations, or book our event hosts to assist with setup and decorating.

Do you have other tables and chairs than the ones shown in the photos?
No, the tables and chairs shown in the venue photos are the ones available at Sentralen.
Some rooms have different furniture options, which may be available depending on whether the room is in use.
If you need additional tables or chairs, these can be rented from external suppliers and delivered to Sentralen.
Is it allowed to bring food and drinks to my event or party?
No, it is not allowed to bring food and drinks with you to your event or party. There is an exception for cakes for weddings, graduations etc.
Can I drop off equipment or decorations before my event?
Yes, it ispossible to deliver equipment, decorations, or other items before your event,or pick them up afterwards.
This must be arranged in advance with your eventproducer.

Sentralen provides space for ideas, interaction and good experiences.
Sentralen is a versatile event house in Kvadraturen in central Oslo. The house consists of two buildings that were originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. On six floors of historic premises, we rent out event rooms, production rooms and meeting rooms for all purposes.
Sentralen is owned by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. Sentralen will contribute to supporting the Sparebank Foundation's vision to trigger good forces, through events and favourable rental prices for tenants that fit under the purposes of cultural production and social innovation.
