Barnas Verksted
Every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm in Vinterhagen, we organize Barnas Verksted. Here, children can draw, paint, build and play, while parents relax. The café next door offers food and drinks that can be taken in. The workshop is best suited for children 2—6 years old, but everyone is welcome!
Barnas Verksted takes place in Vinterhagen every Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 and 16:00. Vinterhagen is an open space located on the ground floor of Sentralen
At Barnas Verksted, children can draw, paint, paste, color, build duplo, play and read books in the reading corner under the stairs. Parents can enjoy themselves in the armchairs and around the tables in Vinterhagen.
Right next to Vinterhagen is Sentralen Kafe. Here you can buy coffee, tea, juice, soft drinks, baking, lunch and pizza. Everything you buy in the cafe can be taken into Vinterhagen.
Barnas Verksted is best suited for children from 2 to 6 years old, but everyone is warmly welcome!
We always find a place for stroller parking inside the building.
Some weekends there are also other free activities at Barnas Verksted. We call this Barnas Verksted Spesial!
In the past there have been aloud reading, Christmas workshop, henna tattoo, art workshop, gutted, street dance, dragon workshop, face painting, button workshop and circus workshop. We will update the Facebook event and the program on sentralen.no when it will be Barnas Verksted Spesial — stay tuned!
Events for children and young people at Sentralen
At Sentralen we have our own person responsible for booking events for children and young people. Katrine Neerland Dodd takes requests every day from tenants who want to arrange concerts, theatre, performances, courses, workshops and activities for children and young people at Sentralen.
It is mainly external actors, who rent premises at Sentralen, who create the programme for children and young people.
Most of these are covered by the rental of premises and the rental of technical equipment through a separate rental scheme. This makes it affordable and attractive to arrange for children and young people at Sentralen, and allows tickets in many cases to be both affordable and free.
Every year hundreds of events for children and families with children are held at Sentralen. Most of the events take place on the weekend, but some are also held during the weekdays.
During the holidays and on long weekends, there are often many events and activities for children and families with children at Sentralen.

Summer at Sentralen
During the summer holidays, we book events and activities for children and young people, which will be part of the Summer at Sentralen program.
The activities and events usually take place out in the street, unless there is very bad weather. Everything on the program is mainly free.
We are also moving Barnas Verksted out into the street.
The program for Summer at Sentralen is usually ready during May. Follow us at centralen.no.
