Sentralen celebrates 10 years with an all-day birthday party!

For ten years, we’ve been an open house for art, culture, volunteering, ideas, and people. On this day, we fill the entire building with activity and invite audiences to experience the breadth, diversity, and energy that have characterised Sentralen since day one.

What’s happening during the birthday celebration

Saturday, February 28 marks ten years since Sentralen opened, and to celebrate we’re inviting you to a major birthday party in collaboration with a wide range of fantastic organisers and artists!

From early morning until late at night, the house will be filled with experiences for all ages and interests. The programme flows seamlessly from daytime activities for adults, babies, and families, through offerings for teenagers and young adults, and into an evening programme for those aged 18 and over. Along the way, you’ll find everything from craft workshops, theatre, and social dancing to roller disco, concerts, drag bingo, and good food at affordable prices. This is just a taste of what the day has to offer.

The entire birthday programme is free of charge, as a thank-you to everyone who uses the house—whether as a guest or organiser—and who has helped make Sentralen the vibrant meeting place it is today.

The programme runs simultaneously across all rooms and halls at Sentralen. Come and go as you please.
