About the event
Welcome to Håndverksdagen "Arts and Crafts day" at Sentralen — a day filled with creativity, crafts and fun for young and old! Explore various craft activities, meet talented artists and get inspired to create something yourself. Here you will find activities suitable for all ages, from children to adults, regardless of skill level!
The day is free and offers many opportunities to learn more about both traditional and modern craft techniques in the heart of Oslo.
We invite everyone — young and old — to a day filled with creative joy!
Overview of all activities at Handicraft Day
All activities will take place in the Marmorsalen Marmorsalen is located to the left of the reception on floor +1.
All activities are recommended for children aged 4 and up. Children under the age of 10 should bring an adult with them to the various activities.
Weaving Station with KunstKall
KunstKall contributes a weaving station for children this day.
Nerdy Derby — create your own vehicle!
The Association Vi er alle hosts Nerdy Derby for the kids. Here, children create their own vehicles from recycled materials that they can use to compete in a car race.
Sjøholmen Kulturhus - clay workshop
Together with Sjøholmen Kulturhus, children can work in clay on small cavalettes with quick-drying clay.
Mosaic workshop with artist Alice Davies
Workshop in mosaic techniques with introduction to mosaic crafts and demonstration of various mosaic techniques and grouting. Here you can create your own mosaic artwork.
The Ukrainian Art Association — make your own keychain with carded wool
Here, children can make their own keychain with carded wool. The wool is used to create balls of various sizes and colors that are later assembled into a keychain.
RELOVE — Redesign and sewing workshop!
Sew clothes for your own teddy bear! You can learn how to sew clothes for your own teddy bear. Did you forget the teddy bear? Fear not, then you can sew your own Easter chicken.
