How do we keep children safe in schools during armed conflict?
The horrific attack on a girls’ school in Iran on 28 February demonstrates the devastating price children pay during armed conflict and the continued need to protect education from attack.
At the same time, in Nigeria, at least 10 school kidnappings have happened in less than two years, and the school safety crisis is deepening.
Join us for a morning of conversations where we have invited practitioners and decision-makers to discuss how we work together to keep schools – and the children in them – safe.
Panel:
• Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Duncan Harvey, Country Director, Save the Children Nigeria
• Gudrun Østby, Research Professor at PRIO
• Mariam Kirollos, Senior Advisor, Amnesty International Norway
• Moderator: Henriette Westhrin, General Secretary, Save the Children Norway
