The Christmas party is an important social gathering where colleagues gather for food, drinks and pleasant company before Christmas. It can be challenging to find a suitable place, but with us at Sentralen it is easy to arrange.

We offer beautiful premises with space for 22-250 people, technical facilities, dining and bar. With over 1,500 annual events and the experience of several hundred Christmas parties since 2016, we are experts at creating successful Christmas parties.

Booking, planning and carrying out this year's Christmas party

The Christmas party season lasts from about mid-November and out December. If you already have a specific date you want for this year's Christmas party, you should contact us now.

Some also choose to arrange New Year's Eve parties in January, instead of Christmas parties.

When you contact booking you will get good guidance on which venue is best suited for your Christmas party, and what are the possibilities.

Our producers and technical department help with the planning of the Christmas party, and have extensive insight into the needs a Christmas party may have.

We have hosts, courtiers, waiters and bartenders present to make sure that the Christmas party is exactly the way you want it to be.

Do you want a staffed wardrobe? We can open the locker room in the basement, so guests can hang up their large wool coats, and put down wet hats and gloves.

We have put together several convenient package prices that make it even easier to rent premises at Sentralen.

Package prices are quoted in price per person, and include everything you need for your event, so you don't have to worry about all the details. If you choose a package price, you will receive the necessary services and facilities adapted to your booking or meeting.

Our dinner package makes it even easier to book this year's Christmas party at Sentralen!

The dinner package includes room rental, furnishing, decking, staffed bar, technical equipment — sound and light, technical staffing, staffed cloakroom and other staffing, in addition to the three-course menu.

It is possible to add additional services for an additional cost.

Spread over six floors, we have rooms of all sizes.

Marmorsalen: grand architecture and space for large Christmas parties.

In Marmorsalen there is a capacity for up to 250 guests seated at long tables, or 200 people seated at round tables.

Marmorsalen also has its own bar and mingle area, and has an area of 550 m2.

There is also plenty of space for a large stage, and it is possible to rent all technical equipment — not least a grand piano.

Marmorsalen impresses with original stone floors, marble-covered columns and a ceiling height of 9 meters under the glass pyramid on the ceiling.

Forstanderskapssalen: class and elegance, perfect for Christmas parties.

In Forstanderskapssalen there is capacity for up to 100 people sitting at long tables, or 80 people sitting at round tables.

Outside Fortsanderskapssalen is Gullbaren, and there are also doors to Direktørrommet from the hall.

Forstanderskapssalen has a built-in stage, and a grand piano that can be rented. It is possible to rent all of the technical equipment in the hall.

Forstanderskapssalen has classic wood panelling on the walls, gorgeous chandeliers, parquet floors and large arched windows. This is an elegant and stylish venue, but it also fits with a proper after-dinner dance floor in the venue!

Christmas in Gullbaren

Outside Forstanderskapssalen, at the top of the marble staircase, is the Gullbaren.

Here there are tables and chairs for those who want to sit and chatter, and a view out of the windows of the lions over the entrance to in Upper Slottsgate. Gullbaren is intimate and snug, and decorated with paintings of old bank directors, and nips and trimmings from the building's time as a bank.

It is also possible to open large doors into the foyer of Forstanderskapssalen, so that this becomes part of the bar area.

Direktørrommet: exclusive Christmas party in the bank director's old corner office.

In the corner on the third floor is Direktørrommet. This room was just renovated, and is also suitable for Christmas parties!

Direktørrommet is one of our smaller halls, and has a capacity of up to 22 people on long tables, and 36 people on round tables.

Kronesalen: celebrate the Christmas table under the stars.

In Kronesalen there is a capacity for up to 100 people sitting at long tables, or just over 80 people sitting at round tables.

Kronesalen is located on the top floor and has skylights overlooking the starry sky. The ceiling features custom-made light domes, produced by Magnor Glassworks especially for Sentralen. This is an airy room, perfect for a party.

There is also a small kitchen with a hatch, which is perfect to use as a bar.

It is possible to build a stage in Kronesalen, and rent all the technical equipment.

In Kronesalen you get a real Christmas spirit!

Kron & Mynt: Christmas table with a view.

Just outside Kronesalen, the roof terrace Kron & Mynt is located over two floors.

If you want to make your Christmas table extra special, it is possible to let guests use the roof terrace. Here we can light the light links and lay out sheepskin traps in the amphitheater. The roof terrace overlooks the rooftops of Kvadraturen, is warm and uneven.

The entire roof terrace takes 150 standing people.

Hvelvet: Oslo's most unique Christmas table venue.

Hvelvet is Sentralen's most unique venue. There is a capacity for up to 50 guests seated at long tables and 40 guests at round tables.

Your colleagues will be impressed when they get to walk up the marble staircase and into the large vault doors, into an old safe deposit box vault. This is a unique place in Oslo.

Hvelvet is a black box with no natural light. If you want a Christmas party with a real dance floor and club atmosphere, then this venue is perfect. It is possible to build stage in Hvelvet, and to rent all the technical equipment.

Flexible solutions for furnishing and stage

All Christmas tables can be furnished as you wish. Most Christmas parties choose round tables or long tables for dinner.

We also have the possibility to furnish with standing tables, if you want, for example, tapas and mingling.

None of the premises have fixed chairs.

Some premises have a stage as part of standard equipment. We have the opportunity to rig stages of various sizes and heights in all of our event rooms.

The whole building is universally designed.

Guaranteed good mood with professional technique

Will the boss present the good results of the year in a PowerPoint presentation? Do you have any speeches planned? Or do you want entertainment? Is there a DJ playing, the office choir performing or do you guys want to play music from a playlist on your phone?

Technical equipment included in the rental of event space with us:

• Projector
• canvassed
• two wireless microphones
• possibility of playing music or other sound from PC or phone

In addition, we rent out all other technical equipment the Christmas party may need - both sound, light and stage technical. Skilled lighting and sound technicians ensure the technical perfection.

The Christmas dinner that makes everyone happy

Of course, Christmas is also about good food and beverages!

In the building of Sentralen there are several bars, a café and the restaurant Hitchhiker, run by the company SentralenMat, which is part of EIK Serving. It is SentralenMat that accounts for all the serving of food and drinks for the Christmas tables.

The dinner package includes three dishes with seasonal produce.

Of course, we have a large selection of both alcohol-containing and alcohol-free beverage options.

Christmas atmosphere in ancient Christiania

Sentralen is located in the old head office of Christiania Sparebank. In all premises of Sentralen you can find traces of the old bank. We have retained old vault doors, marble interiors, wall panels and impressive mosaic floors.

Of course, we decorate the building for Christmas, so the building of Sentralen really gives you a Christmas atmosphere in itself! The original stone, marble and mosaic floors, marble staircase, chandeliers and wooden panels give the feeling of an old-fashioned Christmas. Combined with burgundy-red walls, it's hard not to get into the Christmas mood.

The building is centrally located in central Oslo, between Egertorget and Akershus Fortress. It is easy for all guests to arrive at Sentralen, and also easy if some of the guests want to continue the party in central Oslo afterwards.

The nearest parking garage is a few blocks away, for guests who wish to arrive by car and need parking.
