For fjerde året på rad, fra 24. juni til 13. august, arrangeres Barnas Sommer på Sentralen, som en del av Sommer på Sentralen-programmet.

Alle arrangementene for barna er gratis, og vil finne sted ute i gata vår - Øvre Slottsgate. Om været blir dårlig, flyttes arrangementene inn.

Sommer på Sentralen ble arrangert første gang under den første pandemisommeren i 2020, og har siden dette vært vårt tilbud til alle som tilbringer sommeren i Oslo.

Aktiviteter og arrangementer hver lørdag og søndag

Hver lørdag og søndag fra slutten av juni til midten av august blir det arrangementer og aktiviteter for barna.

I Barnas Sommergate blir det familievennlig uteservering, solstoler, tegnebord, uteleker og andre aktiviteter fra 11:00 - 15:00 for små og større barn. I Barnas Sommergate står også en Lesekiosk - en gammel telefonboks, hvor barna kan levere en bok, og ta med en bok. Foreningen !Les fyller lesekiosken med bøker for små og større barn.

Etter stor suksess med forestillingene "Harry Påtter (med å)" og "Schtar Wårs (med å)", gleder vi oss veldig til Madam Pysj spiller teaterforestillingen "Påkemon (med å)" på lørdager klokken 12:00 og 14:00 fra og med 8. juli.

Samarbeid med Oslo World

I tillegg har vi i år har vi samarbeidet med Oslo World om mange forskjellige aktiviteter og arrangementer for barna.

Nysirkus Event lar barna prøve ulike sirkusdisipliner som sjonglering, diabolo, stylter og tallerkensnurring sammen med sirkusinstruktørerene første lørdag i juli. I tillegg blir det minishow med ekte sirkusartister samme dag!

De to forestillingene "Mitt eventyrlige heritage" - en fortelling i musikk og dans, og forestillingen "Mannen med den levende kofferten" spilles heoldsvis første og andre søndag i juli.

Sammen med Herbie kan barna bli med på et forrykende danseverksted som mikser afrikansk tradisjonell dans og streetdance søndag 16. juli.

Den 30. juli blir det drageverksted med den brasilianske street artisten PEACETU, hvor barna kan lage drager med flyvegaranti, i tillegg til at barna kan prøve seg på capoeira, en flere hundre år gammel afrobrasiliansk kampsportdans, sammen med Bora Brasil.

Kajsa Balto spiller to konserter, der urkraft møter det moderne, og hvor joik og nordsamisk tekst presenteres i et popmusikalsk lydbilde den første søndagen i august.

I den musikalske forestillingen 'Bolbol og meg' forteller musiker og komponist Safaa om sin barndom og hemmelige venn Bolbol gjennom arabiske og norske sanger, der alle er velkommen til å delta, lørdag 12. august.

I en helt ny forestilling med Norges hip-hop-dronning Maria Lotus får barna se en forestilling med sang, rap, poesi og rytmer. Forestillingen spilles den siste lørdagen under Barnas Sommer på Sentralen.

THE CHILDREN’S SUMMER PROGRAMME AT SENTRALEN IS READY!

This summer we can look forward to theatre, music and dance, a kite workshop, capoeira and contemporary circus.

For the fourth year in a row, from 24 June to 13 August, Children’s Summer  at Sentralen is arranged as part of the main programme, Summer at Sentralen.

All  children’s events are free, and held outside Sentralen in Øvre Slottsgate. If the weather turns nasty, the events will be moved inside.

Sommer at Sentralen was arranged for the first time during the pandemic summer in 2020, and has since been open to everyone spending the summer inOslo.

Activities and events every Saturday and Sunday

Events and activities are arranged for children every Saturday and Sunday from the end of June to the middle of August.

Barnas Sommergate, (Children’s Summer Street) offers family-friendly outdoor seating, deckchairs, drawing tables, outdoor games and other activities from 11:00 - 15:00 for children and youths. In Barnas Sommergate you will also find a book kiosk - an iconic old phone box where children can deliver a book and then take another book with them. The Foreningen !Les (Association !Read) supplies the kiosk with books for young and older readers.

Following the great success of the performances “Harry Påtter (with å)” and “Schtar Wårs” (with å)", we are very much looking forward to Madam Pysj in the theatre performance “Påkemon” (with å)" every Saturday at 12:00 and 14:00 starting July 8.

Collaboration with Oslo World

This year we have collaborated with Oslo World on many different activities and events for children.

The Contemporary Circus Event on Saturday 1 July gives children a chance to try different circus disciplines such as juggling, diabolo, stilts and plate spinning together with circus instructors. In addition, a mini-show with real circus artists will be performed on the same day!

The two performances of  “My adventurous heritage” - a story in music and dance, and the performance “The Man with the Living Suitcase”  are played on the first and second Sunday in July respectively. 

Together with Herbie, children can join a fantastic dance workshop that mixes African traditional dance and street dance on Sunday, 16 July 

On 30 July,Brazilian street artist PEACETU will hold a kite workshop where children can make kites guaranteed to fly! Together with Bora Bora Brazil, children will be able to try capoeira, a centuries-old Afro-Brazilian martial art dance.

Kajsa Balto gives two concerts on the first Sunday in August. Primal force meets modern energy, and joik andNorthern Sami texts are presented in a pop musical soundscape.

In the musical performance “Bolbol and I”, on  Saturday 12 August, musician and composer Safaa tells us about his childhood and secret friend Bolbol through Arabic and Norwegian songs, in which everyone is welcome to participate.

In a completely new performance with Norway’s hip-hop queen Maria Lotus, children can enjoy song, poetry, rhythm and rap. The performance will be held on 12 August, the final Saturday of Children’s Summer at Sentralen.
