Food and beverages at Sentralen

Have breakfast and a morning coffee in the café, lunch at the restaurant and end the afternoon with a cold drink on the roof top bar. At Sentralen, we have several food and beverage offers.

Three of Norway’s most renowned chefs Tom Victor Gausdal, Even Ramsvik and Anders Braathen are behind the kitchen at both Sentralen Restaurant and Sentralen Kafé. They have developed innovative dishes based on Norwegian ingredients, both for the guests visiting Sentralen through an event, and for those who visit our restaurant or café.

Sentralen Restaurant

In the first floor of Sentralen, at the corner of Øvre Slottsgate 3 and Tollbugata 30, you find Sentralen Restaurant. The restaurant focuses on quality Norwegian ingredients, often with vegetables as the centre of attraction. The raw materials used are sustainable and organically produced. The dishes, artistically presented are served family style which is very popular with our guests.

The restaurant is well suited whether you are having a small or large dinner, if you are having lunch, or as a meeting place before or after you attend a concert at one of our halls. In addition to serving sustainable and organic food, Sentralen Restaurant offers a good selection of natural wines.

Sentralen Kafé

Sentralen Kafé keeps things going from your wake-up morning coffee to a tasty sourdough pizza in the evening. The café offers a healthy selection of light breakfast and lunch dishes, pastries as well as a variety of coffee and drinks. Good vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options

Vinterhagen (The Winter Garden)

On weekdays Vinterhagen, located in the heart of Sentralen, is a relaxing extension of the café. Here, you can have a meeting with colleagues, a study session with fellow students or just sit down and relax with a newspaper and a coffee from the café.

From Thursday to Saturday, Vinterhagen picks up pace when the bar opens, the lights are dimmed and the weekend atmosphere arrives.

The roof top bar Mynt

During the summer months you can enjoy Sentralen’s new roof top bar, Mynt. Mynt offers selections from the café menu, and the drinks menu includes a range of sparkling wines, orange wine, cider and wild beer, served with a splendid view over the rooftops of Oslo’s Kvadraturen. 

Although Mynt is closed for the winter season, the lower part of the atmospheric roof top terrace, Kron, can be rented for private events.


The menus from Sentralen’s main kitchen, prepared by our Norwegian star chefs have been adapted for serving at your particular type of event. Our main kitchen supplies food for every occasion; from meetings and conferences to banquets and weddings. The main kitchen also provides external catering upon request.
